Methodology:

MCW Alliance Soccer Academy, formed Fall 2007, now joins a long list of youth programs.  We strive to be different in that our focus is truly player first and we

apply U.S. youth soccer coaching principles.

We utilize the principles of youth soccer in our technique focused training sessions.

By ensuring our activities are:

bullet    Developmentally appropriate:  Activities = Ability
bullet    Safe & appropriate training area:  Well maintained fields and watchful coaches.
bullet    Clear, concise, correct information:  More play less coaches babbling.
bullet    Simple to complex:  Start without ball then with ball, walk then full action.
bullet    Decision making:  Players allowed to think and do things on their own.
bullet    Implication for the game:  Our activities teach the game of soccer.

Developmental Areas:

Passing:  Short, Long, inside and outside the foot.

Receiving:  First touch, Arial balls, Grounded balls, Inside/Outside

    Shooting/finishing:  Power vs. Placement

Dribbling:  For speed, possession, ball control.

1 v 1 Moves:  Deceptive moves to elude opponents.

    Shielding

    Ball Mastery/Foot Skills/Coordination activities

    Technical & Tactical Activities

    Special 3 v 3 to 8 v 8 session

    Speed, Strength & Agility training.
